The botanist Matthias de I’Obel was the first to publish his note’s about the Hibiscus Sabdariffa plant i 1576, and later scientific journals confirmed the use of hibiscus flower as a popular ingredient in food and drink. Rosella was grown in Brazil, Maxico, Guatemala, Australia, Hawaii, Florida, Jamaica and the Caribbean in the 17th and 18th centuries. Nowadays, Rosella is attracting the attention of food and beverage market at globally with exploitable possibilities as a natural food product. The great thing is we will be able to promote this as from a particular community, and the fact that it is Bangladeshi native Rosella and not the imported Rosella.
